Established in 2009, Batavia Academy of Dance is the lifelong dream of Founder and Artistic Director, Anne Gugliuzza. A Batavia resident and mom of a current Batavia High School student, Anne believed in creating a magical world of dance where all could be welcomed and inspired by this amazingly beautiful art form. 

Our mission at Batavia Academy of Dance, is to provide exceptional instruction and development in the art of dance for all levels and all ages. In our nurturing and safe environment, we strive to promote a positive self-image and instill a passion for dance in every student. We believe in doing things differently and we are committed to providing quality dance education to Batavia and the surrounding Fox Valley communities. We love what we do and we want you to love being a part of Batavia Academy of Dance! 

We are proud to say; our program is highly successful and amazingly fun! Curriculum based and designed to be progressive, the aim of our program is continual student advancement with the completion of each school year. Because our Academy is curriculum based, we operate like a traditional school. This helps to ensure the progression and success of each student. Our school year begins in late August and commences with our annual recital in June at the state-of-the-art Batavia Fine Arts Centre.  

Our program is designed to accommodate all levels and ages. Whether you have danced for years or have never stepped onto a dance floor, our program is for you!

Dance does not discriminate. It is designed for everyone and we deeply believe anyone can learn to dance. Let us share our love and passion for this incredible art form with you!

We have performed at a number of Batavia community events and have collaborated with local organizations such as Batavia MainStreet, Batavia Chamber of Commerce, Batavia Arts Council, Batavia Mother’s Club, Music Buffs, Music Matters, Shakespeare on Clark, Prom-O-Rama, Art In Your Eye and more!

We are blessed to be located along the river of one of the most beautiful and serene communities in the Fox Valley. We are proud members of Batavia MainStreet and the Batavia Chamber of Commerce and carry a deep love and commitment for our community and home, the amazing city of Batavia!
