Emily O’Brien
Emily O’Brien was born and raised in Batavia, Illinois. Her love of dance began in the Rotolo middle school show choir! She continued her passion for dancing and performing earning roles in numerous musicals, including Rent and Cats. She was a member of the Batavia High School competitive show choir group, winning numerous accolades and awards.
Emily further pursued her passion for dance at Beloit College where she studied under Chris Johnson, Gina T’ai, and Sarah Nesler Wolf. While at Beloit College, Emily was awarded the prestigious Chavey Family Endowed Award in Dance! An honor granted to a student who exemplifies outstanding achievement and contribution to dance performance.
Emily has graced the stage throughout the world including the renowned American College Dance Association, The City of Elgin, and Berlin, Germany.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and is thrilled and blessed to be a part of the faculty of Batavia Academy of Dance!
